After earning a Bachelor’s of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa and later a Post-Degree Diploma in Business at Vancouver Island University, and many years working in retail and as a legal assistant, I was unfulfilled and sought greater purpose in life. I wanted to really help people and make a meaningful contribution to society.
In 2018, I decided to pursue massage therapy and enrolled at the best school in BC with the highest student passing rates on provincial registration exams, Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Then in 2020 I became a Registered Massage Therapist. Since then I have practised in various clinics around Victoria and now I am thrilled to open my own private practise with a relaxation focused approach to therapeutic massage.
While I was a student I was introduced to Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and was fascinated by its healing potential. I pursued my interest in MLD with the Dr. Vodder School International.I became certified in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage Level 2 - Applied MLD after completing 64 hours of training from the extensive 167 hour program in February 2025. This means I’ve mastered the basic and special techniques, as well as the anatomical and physiological fundamentals of MLD, and am qualified to apply the method to patients with a functioning lymph vessel system in the field of pre/post-operative, and post traumatic diseases. I have not been trained in the treatment of edemas including lymphedema. I am pursuing the required training for the treatment of edemas (Level 3) this year (dates TBD).
